Experimentation is an important part of our creative process at We Are Alive Studio. It gives us the freedom to explore new ideas, challenge our technical abilities and discover possibilities that might not emerge during a typical client project.

This collection brings together a series of 3D experiments exploring materials, textures, elasticity, lighting, physics and dynamic motion. From soft, flowing fabrics and flexible surfaces to abstract structures and complex simulations, each experiment focuses on a different creative or technical challenge.

With no client briefs, fixed deliverables or strict creative guidelines, our artists have the freedom to play, test new techniques and push things in unexpected directions. Some experiments are about achieving a particular visual effect, others focus on developing more efficient workflows or understanding how different materials behave in motion.

But experimentation isn’t just about creating beautiful visuals. It’s also how we develop new skills, expand our creative toolkit and discover ideas that can be applied to future projects. A material test might inspire a product animation, a simulation could become part of a brand film, or an unexpected result might lead to an entirely new visual direction.

Many of these little experiments eventually find their way into real client projects, often in ways we couldn’t have predicted when we started.

And that’s what makes experimenting so much fun.
